Stepping Stones!

 This week in Arts and Crafts, we made stepping stones. The kids really enjoyed mixing the cement and decorating their stones. Please enjoy the photos above.

Crayon Art!

This week in our Arts and Crafts group we created fun art work using melted crayons. We used a number of supplies including crayons, canvas, hot glue and blow dryers to melt the crayons. The kids had a great time picking the different colors and designs they wanted to make. Please check out the pictures above from this great activity.

Cool Tie Dye towels for summer!

This summer, we will be creating various art inspired projects like, tie dye towels for swimming, stepping stones for our gardens, and crayon projects for our home decor! Please enjoy the pictures above.

It's Spring!

This week in science, we planted sunflower seeds in order to familiarize students with the plant life cycle. We also reviewed the steps/elements required to care for new seedlings. We are excited to watch our seeds grow! Please enjoy some pictures of this fun activity/lesson.

Welcome to the Bernardo classroom blog. We are located in Lexington High School in the foreign language building. The Bernardo classroom currently consists of 10 students and 4 staff. We are excited to have four of our students graduate this school year. James ,Emily, Billy, and Liz have been members of the Bernardo classroom for many years and will be missed by both staff and peers. We wish them the very best of luck in whatever the future may hold for them! We have been quite busy working on an array of lessons utilizing our new Promethean Smart Board.  Please enjoy some photos of our students in action!
